Ten digit dialing takes effect in the 250 area code, including Prince George, on June 23, 2008. If you are an existing LD Internet customer, please follow the instructions below to update your dial-up number to 250-277-1011. If you are setting up a new dial-up connection, please see How to Set Up a New Internet Connection.

Windows 95/98

1. Double click the My Computer icon.
2. Double click the Dial Up Networking folder.
3. In the folder that opens, there should be a "Mag- Net" icon or something similar. Right click the icon and select Properties from the menu that appears.
4. Telephone Number: Change this number to 250-277-1011
5. Click OK to save your settings.

Windows Me

1. Click the Start button.
2. Select Settings and click on Dial Up Networking.
3. In the folder that opens, there should be a "Mag- Net" icon or something similar. Right click the icon and select Properties from the menu that appears.
4. Telephone Number: Change this number to 250-277-1011
5. Click OK to save your settings.

Windows 2000

1. Click the Start button.
2. Select Settings and click on Network and Dial-up Connections.
3. In the folder that opens there should be a "Mag- Net" icon or something similar. Right click the icon and select Properties from the menu that appears.
4. Phone Number: Change this number to 250-277-1011
5. Click OK to save your settings.

Windows XP

1. Click the Start button.
2. Select Connect To and then click on the Show all
   connections option.
3. In the folder that opens, there should be a "Mag- Net" icon or something similar. Right click the icon and select Properties from the menu that appears.
4. Phone Number: Change this number to 250-277-1011
5. Click OK to save your settings.

Windows Vista

1. Click the Start button.
2. Select Connect To.
3. In the window that opens, there should be a "Mag- Net" connection listed or something similar. Right click the connection and select Properties from the menu that appears.
4. Phone Number: Change this number to 250-277-1011
5. Click OK to save your settings.

MacOS X

1. Click on the Apple menu.
2. Select System Preferences.
3. Select the Network icon followed by PPP tab.
4. Telephone Number: Change this number to 250-277-1011
5. Click Apply Now.
